The challenge
As Vaanster grew, it became increasingly difficult to maintain a clear view of its business processes. Vaanster uses two primary software systems: Planon for property, building and asset management, and Zero Friction for billing and customer management. These systems were not integrated, resulting in fragmented data and limited opportunities for analysis. Vaanster also needed better insight into its Kamstrup meters, which measure heat, cooling and energy consumption across all 164 projects.
The existing systems did not support in-depth analysis, and the lack of integration between Planon, Zero Friction and the Kamstrup readings made reporting cumbersome. Meter data, which is essential for accurate billing and maintenance, also sometimes showed unexpected deviations that had to be corrected manually. A central data structure was urgently needed to improve reporting, enable real-time analysis and ensure data accuracy.
The solution
TECHLETES developed a comprehensive data lake tailored to Vaanster’s needs. It integrates data from Planon, Zero Friction and the extensive network of Kamstrup meters, which record heat, cooling and energy consumption every 15 minutes. The solution provides a seamless data flow and easy access, enabling robust analysis, business intelligence and reporting.
TECHLETES used Power BI to develop dynamic dashboards that give Vaanster actionable insights and real-time monitoring of business processes.
